Fun game, but I am not interested in their freemium model

Reducing my rating by one for two annoying issues:

1. All of my games in my games list show up as "vs. Waiting" - but other times I can see who I am playing (like in my vs. stats). Not impactful to game play but weird and annoying nonetheless

2. I just had a case where a person left the game - that cost me a life (1 of my 15 lives) and lost me the chance to play that game. You should penalize the person who left the game somehow (maybe lose an extra life or forfeit a second game), but not the person that was abandoned

It is generally a fun game, but highly dependent on the skill of your opponent - the variation in skill makes some games rather boring and so I do not see myself bothering with watching videos or paying for lives because I do not know it will be worth it.

I have heard that previously you would regain lives over time - that sounds more like what I am looking for - as it stands I will probably stop playing after I have completed the games allowed by my initial life count.
