Getting lives takes too much time or is too expensive

I love this game - the quickness of it, the strategy, the look of it. However, why was the timer to get more lives taken away? Now you have to watch a 30s ad for every life (which takes WAY too much time considering that one game can be over in 2 minutes), pay $1.19 for 10 lives that you can go through in 5 minutes, or pay $12 (!!!) for infinite lives. Id happily pay $4 for infinite lives but not $12. Or Id happily wait for an hour to get 3 more lives like in the old version. As it is, Im not going to waste time watching ads nor am I going to sink $12 into this game. Some bad decisions were made in this update.
